Grants for Montana nonprofits

Grants open to Montana nonprofits: community-foundation programs in eastern and northwest Montana, a western Montana health fund, the Montana Arts Council's monthly small grants, the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation, NorthWestern Energy and Northwest funders like the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. Several cover only a few counties, so read the "Where" line first. Statewide Montana programs we checked but couldn't confirm as open (such as the Montana Healthcare Foundation's 2026 calls, which have closed) aren't listed.

How we check these listings

Every listing comes from the funder's own website (or official guidelines), checked on the date shown. We list only programs that are open now or have a published opening date. If a page doesn't say the amount, we write "See funder site" instead of guessing. Deadlines can change, so always confirm on the official page before you apply. Spotted something out of date?
